Summer Camp 2025- Jilu Jilu Koodai Kondatam

Marialaya recently hosted a vibrant three-day summer camp from 30.04.2025 to 02.05.2025 titled “Jilu Jilu Kodai Kondattam”, organized by Sr. Michael Arokia Sujatha Mary, the Director and Sr. Susai Mary Annamanickam, Counselor and Project Coordinator in collaboration with staffs from evening tuition centre and children’s home. The camp welcomed 96 children from nearby communities like Jakapuram, Thiruvallur Nagar, Bharathi Nagar, Aduthoti I and II and aimed to build essential life skills through interactive sessions and activities. Mr. Vinoth, Tourist Guide conducted a dynamic workshop on communication, while Mrs. Sangeetha, an Entrepreneur inspired children with her entrepreneurial journey.

On the second day, leadership qualities were explored through blindfold exercises, followed by an engaging session on child rights and Children’s Parliament led by Mrs. Ambiga, Community Outreach Worker. Children showcased their understanding through short dramas.

The final day focused on reflection, team-building games, and a detailed overview of Children’s Parliament roles and election processes. Sponsored meals and gifts added joy to the experience. The camp successfully fostered confidence, civic awareness, and a spirit of participation among all young attendees.
