Children’s Parliament training

A Children’s Parliament session was conducted at Marialaya, led by Mrs. Ambiga, our Community Outreach Worker. The event brought together 18 enthusiastic children from the community and 6 staff members. Mrs. Ilakiya, our Educator, began the session by raising awareness about children's rights, encouraging the children to understand and express their voices.

Following this, Mrs. Ambiga introduced the concept of the Children’s Parliament and conducted a training session. Through a democratic voting process, children elected their own President and Ministers. The roles and responsibilities of each position were discussed in detail. The session concluded with a discussion on how the Children’s Parliament can positively impact the community, empowering children to become responsible and active citizens.
