Strengthening Child Care Through Knowledge and Best Practices

Staff members and Sisters from Marialaya participated in a refresher training programme on Individual Care Plans (ICP) and the implementation of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, organized by the District Child Protection Unit, North Chennai. The programme focused on challenges in transferring children between institutions, adoption and foster care procedures, the importance of quality Individual Care Plans, child psychology, and effective ways to understand and support children of the present generation. The session also strengthened participants’ understanding of JJ Act rules and child care practices, equipping them to provide more sensitive, responsible and child-centred care.
