Strengthening Staff Capacity to Support Children Through Trauma-Informed Care

Marialaya organized a group training session on “Trauma-Informed Care and Building Support Systems” facilitated by Mrs. Akanksha Thomas for staff members working closely with children. Six staff members participated in the interactive program, which focused on understanding trauma and its impact on both children and caregivers. Key topics included the different types of trauma, the “3 E’s” of trauma: Events, Experience, and Effect, and the importance of creating supportive environments for healing. Through case discussions and practical examples, participants gained valuable insights and strategies to better support children who have experienced challenging life situations, enhancing the quality of care and emotional support provided at Marialaya.
